Behind every application is a story — a family trying to stay rooted in their community, a neighbor looking for a safe place to call home, a senior determined not to be displaced. JAHO exists to stand in that gap, connecting people to housing that supports stability, health, and hope.

Our Journey

  1. 1995

    Formed by citizens from six West Tennessee counties to expand affordable housing.

  2. 1996

    Awarded $75,000 HOME grant to revitalize East Jackson properties.

  3. 1998

    First rehabilitated home completed and rented to a local family in need.

  4. 1997–Present

    HUD-recognized CHDO; advanced training & capacity building for sustained impact.

  5. Today

    52+ homes across Jackson, Humboldt, Milan, Bells, Brownsville & Coxville.
