To develop affordable rental and homeownership opportunities for low- to moderate-income families in the City of Jackson and surrounding counties.

Jonah Affordable Housing Organization is based in Jackson, Tennessee, and serves neighbors across the region. We focus on communities where safe, affordable housing is hardest to find — walking with families as they navigate the journey from renting to long-term stability.

Our Journey

1995
Formed by citizens from six West Tennessee counties to expand affordable housing.

1996
Awarded $75,000 HOME grant to revitalize East Jackson properties.

1998
First rehabilitated home completed and rented to a local family in need.

1997–Present
HUD-recognized CHDO; advanced training & capacity building for sustained impact.

52+ homes across Jackson, Humboldt, Milan, Bells, Brownsville & Coxville.
